The City of Miami Fire Fighters' and Police Officers' Retirement Trust

As the parties to the unfair labor practices arising from the Headley case have made considerable progress, the City and FIPO have signed a “standstill agreement.” This will leave all retiree payments as they currently are. The parties have tentatively agreed to make these changes final as part of a multi-stage restoration of pension benefits. If for any reason, the settlement was not made permanent, the payroll would revert to the December 2017 level until the litigation was completed. The parties are optimistic, however, that their negotiations will conclude in a manner that will not require any changes to your benefits.
